36th Ga Presbytery Meeting ends
The Ga Presbytery held its 36th Presbytery Meeting from 12th-16th April 2008 at the Presbyterian Women's Centre, Abokobi. The Meeting which was hosted by the Dansoman District began with a Welcome Service on Saturday 12th April 2008 at the Presbyterian Women's Centre.
In his maiden address, the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey expressed his gratitude to the Lord for calling him into this office and to members of the Presbytery for reposing confidence in him. As the tenth Chairperson, he paid glowing tribute to his predecessors for the solid foundation laid and the Clerk of Presbytery, Rev. Esther Adjetey for the motherly role she is playing at the Presbytery office.Rev. Prof. Martey touched on a number of issues which included new church management style, evangelism and spiritual awakening, ethnocentrism, 2008 General elections, enhancement of church life among others.The Meeting was attended by the Moderator of the P.C.G Rt. Rev.Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso and the Clerk Rev. Herbert Opong and other Ministers of State. |
