CHAIRPRESON'S ADDRESS TO THE 37TH

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.
I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept My Word
and have not denied My Name. (Revelation3:8)
All too soon a year had gone and another has come. Surely, we have not completely put out of our minds the celebrations of Easter which ended just last week. Surely, we are still experiencing the power of the Resurrection that continues to destroy the works of Satan in the lives of believers and break the yoke of all forces of darkness Our theme for this year-"Put on the Whole Armour of God"-which echoes the theme of the whole Presbyterian Church of Ghana is a stark reminder of the fact that the Christian is in a fierce battle which can only be won with the weapons which God alone provides
Looking at the open door which the Almighty God has graciously placed before us to be able to do what we have accomplished within a span of less than two years, we are convinced that the future of our Presbytery is bright; and, if we remain faithful, humble ourselves and prayerfully continue seeking the face of the Lord, we will be able to win more souls and increase our Church growth beyond what we experienced in 2008. Furthermore, we will be able to drastically reduce the burden of assessment payment every month through strategic investments in viable projects not only at the Presbytery but also at District and Congregational levels
In my maiden address last year, I touched on a number of issues outlining my visionary agenda for the Presbytery. This year, I am adopting a different approach. The structure of the whole address is different, the approach is different, and presentation is also different. This year, I am focusing on the Presbytery's Strategic Plan document which summarizes the Vision, Mission, Goals, Resource Allocation, Time Frame and Allocation of Responsibilities. It also encourages Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to be executed
I am doing this because I hold the view that strategic management and implementation is a hallmark for great and excellent leadership. It would be recalled, that, in my last year's address, I alluded to management of the Church in the 21st Century whose challenges demanded new vision and new style. Please, allow me to quote a portion of it here;
I believe that a contemporary Church ought to have a mission, vision, goals and strategies. As we operate within the framework of the agenda of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and, of the Presbytery, we will carefully embark upon monitoring and evaluation of the overall agenda of the Church and would not hesitate to bring a meaningful change in management style to achieve the desired goals and vision-including the vision of our evangelistic and spiritual awakening endeavours.
It is to this end that I present an update performance and evaluation of the Presbytery since September 2007 when I took office as the Chairperson. Please, allow me now to continue with Power Point projection
